Miles And Passage Building

Do you need to gain more miles and Passage making before you complete your Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster Exam ?. Or do you just want to get more miles and relevant experience under your belt ?.

If this sound like you, let Outdoor Training Ltd give you both with one of our Miles Building and passage making weeks. You will be met on one of our Yachts on Sunday evening by a Outdoor Training Ltd Yachtmaster Skipper. Before you return the following Friday, you will have sailed to 4 different ports either along the French or UK Coastline. You will have at least 300 miles under your belt and you will have skippered at least one of the passages. All of this will be under the watchful eye of the Outdoor Training Ltd Yachtmaster Skipper, who will ensure safety at all times, as well as guide you through the process of passage planning and passage making.

A typical itinerary would be:

Sunday: 22.00hrs depart Solent, - Monday 10.00rs arrive Cherbourg.

Monday 18.00hrs depart Cherbourg, - Tuesday 06.00hrs arrive Weymouth 

Tuesday 12.00hrs depart Weymouth, - Wednesday 02.00hrs arrive Salcombe

Wednesday 22.00hrs depart Salcombe, - Thursday 12.00hrs arrive Alderney

Thursday 18.00hrs depart Alderney, - Friday 08.00 arrive Solent.

On completion of the week, your Outdoor Training Ltd Skipper will sign up your Log Books with between 300 and 400 miles. 5 Passages over 60 miles. 5 night passages, 30 night hours and at least 1 night passage as skipper.
